OREN. I am reading Jeff Rapp’s newest tome, The Practice of Ally Work. It is interesting that how he describes the Ally and the relationship between the individual (the Partner) and the Ally is almost exactly as I have experienced my dance with Oren. The book is a great reminder to take this relationship seriously. Particularly the idea of my needing to make efforts to contact my Ally, that what I feed the relationship with is my giving Oren attention; this occurred to me several weeks ago.
Last night I again practiced mindfully contacting Oren. I practiced seeking him out and being with him. I am also practicing more fully accepting the notion that I do not have to protect him, that the basis of the relationship is that the only thing he needs from is is my love and connection. It really is a situation of Unconditional Love. Oren can offer me this because he is not a human with needs such as mine. Instead, he is – what? An archetype, shall we say. What he needs is my very embodied humanness so that me may manifest on this planet.
It occurred to me that Oren can be someone who I can always rely on, to be with me, for me, by me. That he will afford me protection as I negotiate my way around in the world. He offers Home. Moveable Home. He’s a Moveable Home Type.
MANA DZĪVE / MY LIFE. We had dinner last night at Josh and Brad’s. Also present were two new faces: Josh’s personal trainer, Pru, and a fellow gym trainee, Annie, an attorney. Physically and energetically, Pru called to mind Denie. It was interesting to hear talk about working out, the various psychologies involved, different for trainer and trainees.
Poor F has been dealing with sleep disruptions for a number of nights running. The lack of sleep has compromised his immune system, so that he is experiencing a cold or some such malady.
I met with D yesterday. We had a good script writing session. Their first floor powder room toilet leaked over the weekend, water going into the dining room sub-floor and through the brand new basement ceiling and puddling down there on the floor. A couple of Russian fellows were working on the floor in the basement while I was there.
Bret interviews today for the IPTE program. F called him this morning and offered very open and confident words of support.
