Nightmares inform dreamers that something in their dreams or in their waking life is out of balance, creating dangerous circumstances. Nightmares are the shadows that ground the feet of our giddy dreams in reality. They occur in the world of individuals' minds, both sleeping and not sleeping. As well, nightmares manifest in consensual, external reality, too.
