Dreamways

Many would say that sleep dreaming is an unconscious process and beyond our control, therefore not an art.  (Of course, ludcid dreamers would disagree with such a description of sleep dreaming.)  The other types of dreaming, which occur in the waking state, could more easily be described as being under our control, and, therefore, perfectable in the way of art.  One of the definitions of art  refers not to a product created, but, rather, to the skills and knowledge involved in the process of creation.  From this point of view, we can say that all the types of dreaming are forms of art: the art of dreaming.
