A daydream is a fantasy or a reverie, dreamlike musings that pass through the mind while awake.

Daydreams are internal movies that individuals play out for themselves while awake. Because the daydreamer is not asleep, these inner world emanations feel considerably less wild and more under the control of our minds than, say, sleep dreams.
