This movie is a labor of love by Andy García. A golden story about Havana, the city of the title, set in 1958 and 1959, around the fall of Batista and the seizing of the crown by Fidel. It shows the life of a genteel family pulled apart by these political events. The main character winds up fleeing to New York. A nostalgic love song for a Cuba that was seen as the Good Life.
