Dreamways

The color photo covers the top three-quarters of the magazine page. It is a semi-dark attic space with a steeply pitched rough-wood ceiling. At the other end of the ceiling’s "A" there are old-fashioned, mullioned windows at the level of the floor. Above the windows, in the apex of the "A" shines an uncovered light bulb, beaming like a good idea. “The Sleep You’ve Been Dreaming Of”. In hopeful white against a dreamy, bluish background, the words above appear at the top of a full-page magazine ad. Below this phrase we see the backlit, almost haloed, face of a handsome young fellow, his head resting on a pillow, his eyes closed in apparently carefree, blissful sleep. Not only does he appear to be angelical, but on his t-shirt-clad shoulder rests an enormous, luminescent green butterfly, its translucent wings casting a beatific yellowish glow on Mr. Sleepy Head’s face.  read more »
